eBay Drop Off Shop

Here's a little test - nothing in it. Just seeing how important links are to ranking for keyphrases:

Here's a list of eBay Drop Off Shop websites:

• Auctioning4U - a drop of shop for eBay based in London and by the looks of it doing very well. they've got some useful content on there. They say what sells well and have got direct links into their eBay auctions and it's branded nicely.
• BidOnline - I can't tell if this eBay Drop off Shop still going as they don't have any live auctions listed. They give some good content about why to use an eBay trading assistant to list your unwanted items.
• The Auction Shop - I don't think its a particularly good design when you compare it to Auctioning4U. They use the eBay API to draw their current auctions into the site, but it's not displayed with much thought. They're based in Glasgow so I expect they've got that part of the market sown-up. Also they specialise in selling your car on eBay too - I nice segment to be in.
• Auction Assist - Another one based in London. Now this is a design I like. The right and left margins don't' match - which is a bugbear of mine. But it's clean. The logo is a bit naff (but there are many more naff logos out there!) The top main bar takes you straight to their eBay auctions for particular types of products which is great. There is less user-focused content on the site - perhaps this should be improved.

That's the design and functionality looked at. What about PR? Well Auctioning4U has some great PR coverage, including the influential e-Consultancy (thanks for the link to this blog guys). their Head of Consulting was interviewed for e-Consultancy and it gives a great insight into the market as a whole.

Simple hey? There are a good number of eBay Drop Off Shops its just a case of finding them.
